Driving excellence in Sri Lanka's tyre industry
Silverstock Limited was incorporated in 1990 as an investment and management company primarily focused on the tyre industry. The primary mission of SSL is to be a leading and key player in the Pneumatic tyre market in Sri Lanka. In order to pursue this mission in 1992, SSL acquired a controlling interest in Kelani Tyres Ltd (formally Sri Lanka Tyre Corporation) under the Conversion of Public Corporations and Government Owned Business Undertaking Act No.23 of 1987. Thereafter in 2023, SSL acquired 100% of Wheels (Pvt) Ltd, established and leading tyre import / distribution company. Silverstock Limited operates its principal activities under two segments as the managing agent of the subsidiaries, which involves in direct imports and tyre manufacturing.
Silverstock Group consists of Kelani Tyres PLC and Wheels (Pvt) Ltd.
Kelani Tyres PLC (KTL)
In 1999, Kelani Tyres PLC formed a strategic alliance with CEAT Ltd of India, who were manufacturing pneumatic tyres in Sri Lanka and entered into a joint venture in the name of CEAT Kelani Holdings (Private) Limited (CKH). CKH is the leading tyre manufacturer in Sri Lanka with 2 manufacturing units, Associated CEAT (Pvt) Ltd (Kalutara) and CEAT- Kelani International Tyres (Pvt) Ltd (Kelaniya) which are wholly owned subsidiaries of CKH.
Kelani Tyres PLC owns 50% of the equity shares issued by CKH.
SSL at present holds 49.7% of the shares of the company Kelani Tyres PLC.
Wheels Pvt Ltd (WPL)
WPL is a fully owned subsidiary of SSL. Counted as one of the Sri Lanka’s largest importer /Distributors of tyres with the 300 strong Dealer network island wide. They are involved in the supply of a wide range of New pneumatic tyres of rubber from renowned and well-established international brands. (NANAKANG, KENDA, WESTLAKE, ONYX, VIKRANT, JK, HAOHUA)
Meet our experienced leadership team
Chairman
Mr. Chanaka De Silva possesses over 40 years management experience of which more than 30 years has been at Director/Chairman level.
In addition to his position as Chairman of Silverstock Limited, he has been the Chairman of Kelani Tyres PLC since privatization (in 1992) and the Chairman of CEAT Sri Lanka Group Companies since the formation of the Joint Venture (in 1998).
He has been the former Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, TransAsia Hotels Ltd, Club Robinson, and also founder Chairman of Union Commodities (Pvt) Ltd, Union Export Ltd and first Chairman of the Union Bank of Colombo Ltd. He has been a director of Sri Lankan Airlines Ltd, Sri Lankan Airline Catering Ltd, Intercontinental Hotel, Oberoi Hotel and Lewis Brown & Co. Ltd.
Managing Director
Mr. Rohan T. Fernando is a senior business leader in Sri Lanka's tyre and automotive sector, currently serving as Managing Director of Silverstock Limited and Managing Director of Kelani Tyres PLC, a publicly listed tyre manufacturing and distribution company. He is also an Executive Director of the CEAT Sri Lanka Group of Companies, the joint-venture tyre manufacturing entity in which Kelani Tyres PLC holds a 50% stake.
With over forty years of experience in the tyre trade, Mr. Fernando brings extensive expertise in tyre manufacturing, sales and distribution, strategic partnerships, and business development. His long-standing involvement across the automotive value chain has contributed significantly to the growth and positioning of leading tyre brands in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Fernando serves on the boards of several companies within the tyre and automotive system, including entities engaged in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and allied services, underscoring his strong industry presence and strategic influence.
Executive Director
Mr. Eraj T. Fernando has more than 25 years of experience in the Rubber and Commodity Trade. He was the former Chairman of the Corporative Wholesale establishment (C.W.E).
Mr. Eraj T. Fernando is also a Director of Kelani Tyres PLC, CEAT Sri Lanka Group Companies, Hangover Hotels (Pvt) Ltd and Revognah Leisure (Pvt) Ltd.

Mrs. Radhika Fernando brings over 12 years of senior management experience, having served in key leadership roles at Maharaja Group and Nisol Group of Companies, where she successfully led strategic initiatives and business operations. Her extensive experience in corporate governance, strategic planning, and operational leadership equips her with the expertise to drive organizational growth and excellence at the board level.

Director
Mr. Tarusha Weerasooria currently serves as a Director of Finco Holdings (Pvt) Ltd. He began his professional career at Sony in 2019, where he gained valuable industry experience. Upon returning to Sri Lanka, he transitioned roles at Resources Development Consultants and played a key role in the acquisition of Widac, a well-established interior fit-out company.
In recognition of his contributions, he was appointed to the Board of Finco Holdings (Pvt) Ltd in late 2023. He was subsequently appointed to the Board of Wealth Trust Securities PLC in 2024 and to Kelani Tyres PLC in 2025 as an Alternate Director. Mr. Weerasooria has been a member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization since 2023; a global network of business leaders committed to fostering entrepreneurship.

General Manager
Mr. Prasanna Lenaduwa brings over 30 years of extensive experience in finance and operations management, primarily within the tyre and automobile industry. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions at AMW Group and Kelani Tyre Group, where he played a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, operational efficiencies, and financial performance.
Currently, he serves as General Manager of Kelani Tyres PLC and Wheels Pvt Ltd, where he continues to oversee day-to-day operations, financial planning, and corporate governance, contributing significantly to the companies' growth and long-term vision.
